Program
Day 01: Arrival at Djanet airport; National Park entrance
formalities; welcome by the Tuareg guide; transfer by 4-wheel
drive to the foot of the Tassili plateau. Camp. Day 02: Departure
at 6 a.m. with a picnic in the bag; ascent of the Agba Idjabarene,
visit of the rock paintings for the whole day; descent in
the late afternoon, then rendezvous with the 4-wheel drive
for a transfer to the camping site and welcome by the team
of camel drivers and their animals. Day 03: Departure with the
camel caravan; lunch in the Calumbo dunes; crossing of the “Stone Forest.” Camp at Tikat-In-Tnouré. Day
04: Crossing of the Inaramas Plateau; lunch at the Inaramas “Stone
Forest”, then crossing of varied landscapes, canyons, and crossing
of a few dunes. Camp at the Agzil Canyon. Day 05: Crossing of the Agzi Wadi;
lunch at Tiouaitaterene in the dunes; crossing of the Tinafazou Canyons.
Camp at the Assassou Wadi. Day 06: Lunch at Inalikou; crossing of dune landscapes,
canyons, arches and “Stone Mushrooms.” Camp at Tiharamiouen (the
most beautiful place to admire sunset behind the dunes). Day 07: Lunch at
Adaig; visit of the “Stone Forests” and the
plateaus. Camp at Tisras. Day 08: Transfer to Djanet by 4-wheel drive; visit
of the oasis and the crafts-shops; visit of the “Weeping Cow” engraving
then continuation to the airport for departure.
